Hello Bon Voyage family! Spring is officially here, which means it’s time to wake up your RV, prep your boat, and plan those adventures you’ve been dreaming about all winter. We put together this little guide to help you get ready — because we care about you. Also because we’re nosy and want to know where you’re going. 😄
⚠️ A Note About Our Facility This Spring
As a reminder, tenant access to the facility is not available at this time. The good news? Our team includes mechanics who can stop by and do a solid check on your vehicle — not a full shop-level service, but more than just a quick glance. We’ll look things over and give you an honest heads-up if something needs attention before your trip. Just reach out and we’ll be happy to help! 🚐⛵
🚐 RV Spring Maintenance Checklist
Your RV has been sitting quietly all winter. It’s not mad — but it does have a few requests before you hit the road. Our team can take a look at these key areas and let you know where things stand:
🔋 Battery Check
Winter is rough on batteries. We’ll check the charge and condition so you’re not surprised by a dead battery in your driveway on day one of your trip.
🛞 Tire Inspection
We’ll check tire pressure and look over the sidewalls for cracking or wear. Tires that sat all winter may look fine but could be hiding issues — kind of like your uncle at Thanksgiving.
💧 Water System
We can check for obvious signs of freezing damage or buildup in the lines and tanks. For a full flush and sanitization, you’ll want to do that yourself or with a service tech — but we’ll flag anything that looks concerning.
🪟 Seals & Seams
We’ll walk around your RV and inspect seals, windows, and roof seams for visible cracks or separations. Water leaks are sneaky and love to ruin a good trip.
🔌 Appliances & Electrical
We’ll do a basic check on accessible systems and note anything that looks off. For full appliance testing, that’s best done by you once you’re on-site — but we’ve got the basics covered.
⛵ Boat Prep & Launch Checklist
The water is calling, and your boat is ready to answer — just make sure it’s actually ready first. Here’s what our team can check on your behalf:
🔧 Engine Visual Check
We’ll take a look at the engine area for any obvious issues — fluid leaks, loose connections, or anything that raises a red flag. A full mechanical service should still be done by your marina or technician, but we’ll give you a good starting point.
🛢️ Fuel System
We’ll inspect fuel lines for visible cracks or wear and flag anything that looks concerning. Old fuel from last season can cause more headaches than it’s worth — plan to top off with fresh fuel before launching.
🚨 Safety Gear Check
Life jackets, flares, fire extinguisher — we’ll do a visual check to make sure everything appears to be in place. The Coast Guard won’t think your excuse is funny. Neither will we.
🧽 General Condition & Cover
We’ll pull back the cover and give your boat a good look-over for any damage, water pooling, or critter surprises. First impressions matter — even if it’s just the fish judging you.
🔩 Trailer Check
We’ll inspect the trailer hitch, lights, and tires so your launch day goes as smoothly as possible. A smooth launch is a happy launch!
